Go back a few years pre dx11.
Nvidia was hoping to cash out on multiplat games by adding physx to them. AMD started pushing dx11 and Nvidia wanted nothing to do with the technology. They were going as far as downlplaying it in hopes of cashing in on those physx mutliplats.
AMD gained dx11 traction and Nvidia was forced to play to their tune.
In short they wanted nothing to do with innova...

If you want to see wow clone see Rift. You can tell off the bat that star wars is its own game with wow features tacked on
specifically the ui and quest tracking. The difference is in wow and rift I had no idea when I started what the story was about till I reached endgame. With Rift I'm 33 and still have no clue what the story is about.
