Seriously, I've not seen this much anti-anything in a long time. I just don't get it. If you don't like it, don't buy it...plain and simple.

It was meant to be more Halo 3, a continuation, a different story with mostly the same gameplay; Gameplay with a little twist, but not much.
I did not look at the videos, I already know what I'm getting myself into.
I've never seen so many negative comments about a gameplay video.
everyone knew that ODST was a different story being told, a branch if you will, of Halo 3. Everyone knew it was an expansion of sorts. Everyone knew it was going to be the same 'tried and true' formula that Bungie became known for.
So, why is it that we are all complaining that it's still the same engine? That it's still the same animations, story, etc.?
Bungie's lead programmer had stated that ODST is much more than what they had first anticipated it to be. For ...
If you look at the FF series, most titles have sold between 5 million and 9 million.
The ps2's install base is just plain ridiculous.
Then you look at Fable, which has sold around 2.5 million.
The Xbox install base is nowhere near that of the ps2's.
So, with that being said, doesn't that mean Fable pretty much held it's own and did fairly well?
Also, the FF series is a well-established franchise, as opposed to, Fable b...

Guaranteed. I really don't know exactly how many side quests there are, what I was stating was simply an estimate.
It's worth buying now, take my word for it.
but half of the side quests AND the main quest...in nine hours? I don't really think that's possible. I've done about 1/3 of the side quests, and beat the main quest and I'm at about 30-35 hours. Now I'm just trying to learn all the skills and find all the locations.

From the sound of it, No. I've played it and beaten it, i's got flaws but there's a lot to play around with. This game will keep me busy until Halo 3.

Honestly though, Gameplay > Graphics, no matter how you spin it.
