Sounds good. But if I were getting a PS4 I would be more interested in Planetside 2, which is a better Battlefield game than Battlefield itself! Plus it's F2P.
And no mention of Natural Selection 2 or Red Orchestra 2?
Don't tag this as PC news if you are just going to include examples of multi-platform mediocrity.
I wouldn't worry about EA not supporting the Wii U. All they do is ruin game franchises anyway (See Battlefield and Sim City).
The Wii U is the only console I will consider buying on the strength of Nintendo's first party games. As a PC gamer the new Xbox and PS4 offer nothing that I can't already do on my existing PC.
I think I'll take the plunge once Pikmin 3 comes out as at the moment there aren't any must have games.
I'm sure it will be good, but 'any' PC? No.
As it's made by Sony themselves of course it will be coming to the PS4. It will just be a matter of how good it looks as (console optimisations aside) even ridiculously high-end PC's take a FPS hit in large battles(hundreds of players in one area with dozens of aircraft and vehicles).
Regardless of this it will be there in some form and as a PC player with a few hundred hours into it you PS4 players will love it! It's what Battlefield should have been and I hope i...
Do you get to play as a super zombie who comes back to life after being nailed to a plank of wood?
Sounds awesome!
The risk of offending overly sensitive people is not good for business.
@ Fatality
'thief = next gen game
skyrim, bf3, f12012 = current gen (40-50 fps)'
Current gen/next gen is meaningless to PC gamers. The PS4 is comparable to a current decent gaming PC. Most PC gamers on present middling hardware will have no problem running these magical nextgen games on release.
Crysis from 2007 says hello.
I don't know much about the new Xbox, but if the PS4 is the most powerful of the three that's a shame.
I have been reading about how more efficient consoles are compared to PCs due to not having to run Windows and other background processes and that they can perform far more drawcalls per second than a PC hobbled by DirectX can even with more powerful GPUs. With those advantages I had hoped for something jaw-dropping considering the advances in GPUs and CPUs since the...
PC player here due to better customisation options, wider variety of games and my love of tinkering. Even so I welcome the release of the PS4 and the next Xbox as it sets a new minimum standard for games over the next few years as the old consoles were holding things back.
The more powerful the new consoles the better as it will mean the PC will be pushed more as well. That being said I had hoped the PS4 would demolish my existing PC (GTX 580, i7-860 - 3-year-old CPU and 2 ye...
Growth rate, not total growth.
If the rumour is true then this will be the most powerful single GPU card available when it comes out, hence the price. There is no need to have one however, but if you have the money to spare it would be nice.
A $100 dollar GPU will blow the PS3 out of the water and last you many years as you can simply turn the graphics options down on any new releases accordingly. You don't need to buy a new GPU every six months unless you simply must have the latest and greatest thing...
You should give Planetside 2 a go on the PC. It is like BF on steroids and F2P.
Huge maps with thousands of players and hundreds of vehicles.

Go and spend it NOW before they go into administration and the administrator decides not to honour prepaid cards and discounts.
They can and will do that.
It's a free total conversion mod that is a collaboration between Tripwire and a team of modders who have had access to the R02 builds during development, Duke. Here's more info about it.

So they are definitely not greedy like Activision!
The author obviously hasn't heard of placeholders.
Exactly, it's a clever marketing tactic. I had heard of Steam last year, but only decided to install it after Valve ran a promo giving away the original Portal for free. Once I had a look around the store and saw some of the great offers I started buying games on it. I think I have over 20 now.
Mirror's Edge had a story? I just remember a load of cutscenes I skipped through.
