Sad to hear... but well needed. Losing the comments is a low blow. But totally get it. The site has been broken for a long time. As a Senior Technical Engineer in my day job.. could see the holes quite easily. The site has problems and hopefully the changes being made will resolve most of those. Not too sure how to feel about it. Been on N4G for over 21 years and used to visit religiously.. multiple times a day. But started to stop due to how toxic it became.
It was so obvious how th...

Looks lovely kind of wish it was a Dual Sense Edge.. But we are such suckers for controllers

EXACTLY, they have come full circle. We are finally getting the true vision of Xbox. We at EPG are excited at the Xbox mode coming to PC. If they allow Xbox games/library to also be played on PC.. will be an epic win. As an Every Platform Gamer, the unified access to every store on one machine is very appealing. We would also like to see more console like features brought across, like being able to turn off our PC and it goes to sleep like the Xbox does and still runs all updates and downloa...

Agreed, its sounds like an incredible concept. Many PC gamers also own a Nintendo console as compliments each other. So far, Microsoft have done everything correct, We just hope they don't make any silly blunders to break the momentum they are building. Gamers are excited, more and more are seeing the potential value Helix will bring. The PS6 sounds great too, you cant go wrong picking any combination of the big 3, and with Steam machine also on the way, gaming will hopefully have another...

The true story of Xbox is wild:
🔴 Red Ring nearly kills the brand
📺 Xbox One TV era damages trust
👥 Leadership shift (Phil Spencer legacy → Asha Sharma era)
🌀 And now… Project Helix
Question for you:
Is Helix the future… or Xbox’s final mistake? Are you going Xbox Helix or PlayStation 6? What new features would you love to see most?
We at EPG are very excited at the cusp of a new generation. The Sw...

@DarXyde
Yeah, that’s a pretty fair take, and we mostly agree with the broader context you’re laying out. This generation has been weird in ways we probably won’t fully wrap our heads around for a while. Between the pandemic, supply chain mess, shifting work expectations, and investor panic, every platform holder has been dealing with a pretty rough hand.
Where we land a bit differently isn’t about ignoring those pressures, but about how much slack we give when the end resul...

Neonridr you nailed it, In the video we even go over cyberpunk and how it lasts around 2 or so hours, which is a pretty awesome achievement. Obviously battery performance will vary game to game.
So far, upon testing a whole heap of games, the Switch 2 has performed extremely well in the battery life department. And your comments on the 120hz screen, are spot on.
VRR and HDR make the screen and colors just pop off the screen, no need for OLED for now.
They may yet re...

Who? which one is a bot? yikes, imagine your calling a real person a bot without the facts.. would be unfair right? not very nice. But curious to know who you mean? This incessant need for people to keep saying everything is AI or everyone is a bot is a little disheartening. AI is a tool to be used and utilized, yes some may abuse it but in the context of gaming.. like its just video games.. and if people are using bot accounts that's kind of sad they feel the need to do it. Maybe its th...

Thanks so much for the reply, Appreciate it massively. Re Hyrule Warriors, we loved it too. And hoping some DLC will be released for it soon. Would love some new characters to play through and some new multiplayer modes would be great too. The game performs so well, makes a massive difference having it run at 60fps vs the sub 30fps of Age of Calamity. And yes Xenoblade and Zelda will be epic, the Switch 2 has the power to give us some incredible experiences, hoping the wait wont be too much l...

Thanks you absolutely nailed it. Check out our other article currently on the N4G homepage. Our video and Article discuss this very issue you touched on. Your sentiment nails it, and we at EPG agree wholeheartedly.
ANYONE who has played PlayStation since the beginning and owned all of the consoles will agree this generation has been the worst. Its not the consoles fault, both the PS5 and PS5 pro are incredible machines with amazing tech, its more the direction Sony has taken and the...

The Nintendo Switch 2 deserves far more recognition as a hybrid console than it often receives. Its success is not accidental, it builds directly on the foundation laid by the original Switch while meaningfully evolving the concept. In fact, the influence of Nintendo’s hybrid strategy is now clear, with both Xbox and PlayStation publicly exploring hybrid or portable hardware, something that would have been unthinkable a decade ago.
It’s also worth noting that Japan remains core terri...

Sheesh the numbers are so bad, you would of thought someone by now at Xbox took notice and said.. hey we need to do something about this. This whole gen and the Xbox One gen is like Microsoft just gave up.

LOL I read this on gaff, will they refund the money back to the gamers? highly unlikely. Didn't they just raise prices and pass it onto the gamers? Only Nintendo would send out the Ninjas to the US government.

Yup this was one of the issues we had with the game. The actual game was a fun game to play. Not bad at all. But forcing the stop motion effect is silly. Turning off motion blur, film grain too. These should be universally turned off if the player chooses. Or at system level, it should be an option. I always turn all of these off. But don't let it stop you from playing the game, you only need to put up with it in cinematics, eventually you likely wont even notice it.

Well, Shawn Layden was High up at PlayStation, he would know better then any of us, and what's really going down at Sony right? My favorite was Jack Trenton.

hmm never played a fatal frame game, but the recent trailers looked great. Were these not Wii U games? Have heard good things about them.

We’re all entitled to our opinions. You have yours, and we have ours.
The core issue isn’t the hardware; it’s Sony’s direction. The heavy push toward live‑service games, the closure of studios like Bluepoint, the lack of consistent first‑party releases, and the absence of the third‑person, narrative‑driven single‑player games PlayStation built its reputation on are all valid concerns. Where is Naughty Dog’s next project? What happened to Concord?
Meanwhile, the Switch 2 curr...
