And for the record, I'm so looking forward to next gen. 7 years with the same game console is plenty enough time. (My 360) and if ps4 releases next year, that's 6 years for ps3. Same as ps2.
I'm in for one.... Only thing that would stop me from buying on day one is if MS decides to release the next Xbox in 2012.

I guess I'm the minority on N4G that hopes Sony and MS do imitate WiiU.
It's one thing for the gimmicks MS has done with wp7+360 or what Sony has done with psp+ps3, or what it could do with vida+ps3 ...
But Nintendo has made the controller the main selling point of its next gen console, and it can bring that next gen dual screen gaming to every game released. It's Not just some tacked on gimmick.

I think it will be really close this gen, hopefully the Vida will sell more then the 3DS.

Yes, MS won from a business perspective. That should be obvious.
Kinnect Disneyland and Sesame Street will be huge for selling tons more Kinnect to all the parents for their toddlers.
Dance Central 2 and Kinnect Sports 2 will continue grabbing casual to buy Kinnect.
And games like Mass Effect 3, Forza 4, Ryse, and Ghost Recon are meant to appeal to the Core to buy Kinnect.

Seems like the next step in controller evolution. Something that will be amazing for the core games, and something Sony and MS are going to have to copy.
What's cool about the Wii U is that its still great for the casual cause its compatible with the original Wii motion controllers.
I feel Nintendo hit a home run with this console, the only thing I'm really sceptical about is what's under the hood.
