It wouldn't make much sense to me if they introduced a new love interest in the final chapter. The series is about carrying over choices and developing relationships over the games.
I believe this is just the implementation of the new security infrastructure, not PSN actually being fully up.

Um, I believe The Mass Effect series is not only the best new IP this generation, but one of the coolest and fully realized game universe's out there.
Mass Effect 1 and 2 are amazing, DAO was amazing, and DA2, while not perfect ,was not horrible.

Dead Space 2 was fantastic, and I can't wait for the eventual Dead Space 3. I actually wasn't aware the DS series didn't have a lead writer, that's pretty interesting.
