Street FIghter 2, why? It’s the only game that’s thats made physically cry with frustration trying to complete.
Microsoft’s negative stigma this generation is likely to play a massive role in the next one, going to work twice as hard to win back consumer confidence.
It says a lot when you launch a system that’s more expensive than the competition, citing it as better, to now having it selling cheaper and appearing as a cost effective alternative to the competition (excluding One X, naturally), that’s with noticably less first party titles.
Sony could very well repe...
Competitors want Sony to conform, truth is it doesn’t need to, it’s the market leader. It’s massive fan base would make crossplay a novelty extention, it’s far from a crucial factor and benefits the the competition as they factually have smaller audiences that would significantly be bolstered by the success of Sony’s established player count.
It’s not a mutually beneficial arrangement.
Reactions like this proved Sega still has punching power and such an emotional connection to fans that cant die, not even the frustration of underwhelming Sonic titles of recent years can dampen that fire.
Shenmue 1 & 2 in HD is phenomenal news, couldn't think of two games that deserve that treatment more, and makes good on that high investment they made back in the 90s.
Sega has a history that's chequered in respects of getting games so damn ...
Japanese hot cakes!
Witches 3 in my opinion on how much story & it's writing matters in gaming. Playing it gave a mixture of emotions, the positive in awe of how good it was ,and sad thinking how little of this we experience overall from other developers.
They crafted that game and put so much passion into it, you can't help but appreciate it.
PS4 has flourished so damn well, it's big releases such as the new God of War feel like blockbuster titles again, not felt like this in many years.
It amazes me that in the UK it launched cheaper than Xbox One and now the tables have turned, however, PS4 is selling far more units with greater selling appeal.
My only hope is that they keep this productive attitude into the next gen and not take the gamers for granted, as I felt they did when they launc...
I'm one of the old gamers that heard PS5 rumours back when the PS1 & PS2 were in their prime, which was as ridiculous then as it sounds now.
Very limited number of things Sony could do to stop me buying a PS5, it's practically a bucket list accomplishment as I've read fake news on this device for over 20 years lol!
Not to sound callous but there's far from a shortage of PS4 gamers and that number is ever growing.
The lead runner does not need to compromise to merge multiplayer or put themselves out with a move that benefits the competition more than them.
Admittedly I'm not the social multiplayer gamer I used to b, yet I don't see why we need to merge multiplayer, it's a nice one off novelty but the console loses a part of its indentity, similar to t...
Xbox made decisions early on that took the players for granted, at a time the focus was on making a choice out of two (no offence to Wii U, but no focus was on that in November 2013), so gamers drifted towards Sony a lot more as a consequence.
The line-up Microsoft had to attempt a ride turner;never amounted to a lot, backward compatibility made players notice yet ultimately hasn't reflected on sales in a noticeable way from reports read.
The fan base...
QTEs in Spider-Man feels like a nice pairing anyway, merging Spider sense with quick reaction segments in itself is complimentary.
Linear games are relevant still, it's all about design. Games such as Resident Evil 4 demonstrate how a linear structure works.
After recently getting absorbed by Vandal Hearts for literally hours, nostalgia isn't always a bad thing lol.
A portion of gamers have moaned that Mario & Zelda are old for and should be ditched for many years. Truth is they remain an incredible draw, they adapt to the company's progression of the system and are reimagined in a way that keeps them fresh and appealing to more than one generation of players.
Nintendos success can be attributed to fusing old ideas with new. The long running franchises serving as a solid foundation, and use that as a platform to push other new ...
My heart is on Nintendo winning, my head is with PlayStation 4 though.
Sony has demonstrated their game-plan by bolstering up a line up with a solid schedule of releases, a number of exclusives that existing consumers have been waiting patiently on, with plenty of drawing power to attract hardware sales.
Nintendo Switch has shown tonnes of promise, its performance has taken the industry by storm. I personally feel we are coming out of the honeymoon period...
White Knight Chronicles 2 also included the original game as standard
It's practicality of functioning as both a handheld and home system has paid off far better than critics anticipated,
It also has helped that Nintendo invested more marketing on the Switch than they did on the WII U launch, which was significantly different.
Emphasis on the boasts...
Street Fighter 2, why? It’s the only game that’s made me cry with frustration trying to complete as a child.
An absolute classic, yet remember the worst experience trying to conquer the normal difficulty.
