First and foremost, my game never made the PS Now list. Now that I had to go out and purchase a PS3 just to be able to play Demon's Souls..........I hope PS Now flops hard. The feature was literally useless on the PS4 for me. B.C. with Microsoft is a better feature and it comes with your Xbox Live Gold account at no extra charge. You pay $50 a year for PS+ and then if you want PS Now it cost you more.
Coming from someone that hates sci/fi / space games..........this game is not a five by any means. Its getting a 10 from me right now. Most interesting game I have played all year.
That's the first thing I'm learning today when I get home to play. Increasing my ship and my suit inventory that is.
Inventory management is everything in this game. I only have two hours in......but its interesting as all get out.
I have had my feel for Infinity Ward. I have been buying CoD since the original on Xbox so I have seen them all and put a lot of hours into each. Infinity Ward is by far the worst of the three developers. I never can click with there games at all. Ghosts was by far the worst CoD I ever played followed by Modern Warfare 3. Treyarch is my favorite out of that bunch. Sledgehammer is okay. Stuck in the middle though. You couldn't pay me to take a free copy of anything Infinity Ward makes thou...
I thought the same thing until yesterday. But after I dug in, I can say there is a lot more to this game then I thought activity wise. The first solar system I traveled to after getting off your starting planet there was a space station, so of course I docked inside before I went to any of the planets close. When I got out of the ship I went inside where I found alien/guy in a space suit. Speaking in a language I don't think anyone could understand. But basically he was trying to negotiat...
The first planet I was on was weird as all get out. Which was pretty cool.
Coming from a Souls player.......we like not having a map, we don't like GPS systems, when you die you lose supplies and it gives you one chance to go get it..............the more I keep hearing about this game the more I like it. Some players like a challenge and don't want the game holding our hand the entire time. Repetitive is not a good enough reason for me not to be interested in this game. However, games like Just Cause 3.........very repetitive to the point of me not wanting t...
Single player games like this is great. Myself, glad it is the way it is. I give thanks that this game is more about finding new items/planets/fixing your ship then "Hey, where did my buddy go?" or " Hey guys, lets wait on Jim before we go, he will be online in five minutes". Plus, it would be a universe full of Gankers that are just getting on to ruin your day. You know its true.
Guys that are screaming, " I must have multiplayer", is the same...
This is how my day has went so far.
- I read an article on this game that is praising, calling it maybe one of the better games of 2016.
- I read an article on this game that says its boring after a while, but a good boring.
- I read an article on this game that says "I wasn't really looking forward to this game, but now that I've played it, I'm glad I made the purchase".
- I read an article on this game that gives it a revie...
The game is fun at times. But its so repetitive............it even puts Assassin's Creed to shame on that matter. The DLC helps with this............if you can make it that far. You would have to grind to make it there. Unless your one of those players that plays the DLC way too early in the game your not even close to finishing yet. I'm not one of those players though. I can see hitting the DLC up like a few missions before the end though and then finishing the main game right after....
For linear games I don't like them unless I can't find a collectable or something like that and then I use them. For huge open world games that have the "you can't go back" formula, games that are 200 hours plus for one playthrough...........these videos are sometimes key if your looking to just have one play through for that game.
95% of the time when I get invaded, I'm cursing. LOL
Very nice article Tony Polanco. Its good to know I wasn't the only one that had pretty much the same feelings as you did "before release" of No Man's Sky. It just didn't seem like it would be a game that I would be into very much. I thought it was actually a multiplayer based game and here its not. (See how much I have researched the game pre launch, LOL). But thanks to good articles like this that just gives a good first take on the game.......I'm looking to see if ...
We need specs on Neo first before we can assume anything, right?
@ Hoffmann
Couldn't agree more.
It seems like they have a good plan going. Single player games like this are good to have for everyone. This is what the "Share" button is for. Man, if you guys thought the share button was hardly used, it will be now. Even though I'm a guy that uses the share button daily.
This is coming from someone that hasn't bought the game and wasn't going to because I thought it was a multiplayer based game. (Can you tell I didn't research the game very well...
As long as they get those third party games Nintendo NX will be just fine. If not.............history will repeat itself.
Uncharted/The Last of Us has been the best linear games I have ever played. I can see how Uncharted has been the best exclusive this year easily.
It would be a universe full of Gankers if multiplayer was a major factor.
The world needs more single player games and less Gankers.
