Ray Tracing usually has a negative effect on the frame rate. It is a cool extra feature but not required at the expense of low fps.
So much fun, had many memorable days playing it with the Wii Wheel. Challenging game but not too difficult.

Any game can be made playable if you understand the hardware and its limitations. Just fully optimize the game for it.
