Totally agree. The story in COD4 was nothing special. The story in MW2 looks as cliched as any Pierce Brosnan Bond film (snowmobiles and all).
COD is meant to be played online. Most of my friends didn't even finish the campaign in COD4 (I did - but I was left with a great big "meh" feeling).
Call of Duty belongs on PSN and Live - not in our movie theaters.
Is that Sony runs circles around Microsoft in terms of hardware - they have the infrastructure for high-tech R&D (Sony lives and dies by its hardware sales in the huge consumer electronics market).
Imagine Microsoft trying to squeeze the hot, 50%-failure Xbox 360 into a smaller unit.
God, it'll be disastrous. Microsoft needs to focus on making the current model reliable.
I'm a big fan of the poem - Alighieri's work has influenced our modern perception of Hell.
I know this game is nothing but a bastardization, but don't get me wrong - I hope it will be a fun one.
With that said, wow... the protagonist's (Dante, I assume) character design is horribly bland.
Some guy on another forum mentioned that the cardboard guns kid was from Canada.
This kid is from Wisconsin.
Right you are. But this means we might get HD television shows and possibly HD films through our computers (rather than through that abortion called AppleTV).
One of the reasons why people pirate: "Because piracy is easy to do with low risk for getting caught."
And yet these people are asking for no DRM! That makes it even easier to pirate content.
The studios aren't stupid - they aren't going to appease the pirates. The pirates only want to make it easier to steal content. You can't trust a thief.

This movie will pull a Hitman, I know it.
Mark Wahlberg is a great actor... but he isn't right for the role - his face fits, but his voice doesn't.
Secondly, the director made The Omen (remake), Flight of the Phoenix (remake) and Behind Enemy Lines. So only one of his movies was even marginally good.
The whole PG-13 rating is a bad move. And finally, the use of these angelic hallucinations... just silly in comparison to the game's handling of Payne's des...
Those Bloodrayne advertisements (back in the day) were surprisingly sexy.
Something about that tight, leather outfit...
Has your need for attention been satisfied? Or are you really "offended" by a harmless remark that can only be interpreted by naive beings such as yourself as "racist"?
The term "white" also has a colloquial meaning: nerdy or suburban, spoiled kid.
Now stop pretending to be nonchalant when people call you out on this stuff e.g., "I'm really just curious about how such a funny guy made such a racist remark - the rest of the episode w...
I know Mike Newell is a little unknown to the masses... but you should watch Donnie Brasco before judging the guy - he's proven himself to be a great director. I think this will be a pleasant surprise.
I have a PS3, so I'm Blu-ray for that reason - I have no ties to the format in a fanboy-ish fashion:
But seriously... people (on both sides) need to stop counting studio's cataloged libraries.
With less than 400 titles in each format, those catalog title numbers are irrelevant. They aren't releasing all of them any time soon.
Are you joking about Die Hard 4?
Cuz it's pretty well-known that Fox is Blu-ray exclusive.
The Xbox 360 came out in November 2005. HD DVD launched in April 2006.
If Microsoft had chosen to incluce the drive, they would have been competing with the PS3 at a similar price - in the same holiday season.
Microsoft doesn't care about HD DVD's fate... well, as much as it does the Xbox brand.
Where are you getting your information from?
Sony made the XMB. It was first used in the PSX and is currently in Sony Bravia televisions, the PSP, and the PS3. Hell, they won an Emmy for the interface.
How is it that Mass Effect fits on a 9GB DVD but couldn't fit on a 25GB Blu-ray?
Secondly, learn how to use contractions... (couldn't - not could'nt).
The graphics are looking decent for a game in development... but those animations are horrid.
When will developers (besides Naughty Dog and Crytek) learn that animation is even more important than graphical quality?
I'm well aware that they aren't true PIP, just a separate film with a video box in the corner....
So what? It's still technically PIP. Wow, the end result is the same ( a box in the corner).... but I guess true PIP is better.
What business school did you go to?
If it was all about PRICE! PRICE! PRICE!, then why is the iPod selling more than San Disk players or Zunes?
Both Crank and The Descent have PIP.
Don't believe me? Look it up.
That's a bold statement about movies there - if you look at the megabudget releases, I'd agree. But the same goes for gaming, most of the big budget games are just as bad - COD and Gears of War, etc. have boring, conventional, convoluted plots.
Indie films like Never Let Me Go, The Ghost Writer, or Monsters are examples of great writing in film.
Indie games like Limbo and Amnesia are examples of great writing in games.
