Download or digital distribution will never take over, it will never replace retail, well at least not in the near future. Sony needs 3 things:
1. pricedrop
2. great games
3. a final BD victory
All these things will happen in the near future and if Sony can afford a $200 pricedrop, it will be a slaughter. They will take a big hit at 1st, but will get the money back with software, especially when BD wins. They will make gadzillions when BD becomes the HD standard.
