I never understood why people feel the need to hack things, even games like COD, if you get on World At War a lot of people have invincibility on, I don't see how that could be fun after a few minutes.
Hacking consoles only hurts gamers and we all end up paying the price. Mostly in ways like DRM and running through hoops to play a game. Things can always get worse and I don't really like where the industry is going because of idiots with too much time on their hands....

I know a lot of people here didn't like RE6, but obviously a lot of gamers did like it, myself included. I didn't think it was the best game in the series, but how many times could they have a Resident Evil game where they explore a mansion and solve puzzles?
On the plus side, its good to see a game actually sell, we've had months and months of negative stories on game sales and its nice to see an end to that trend.

You have to wonder since this seemed to be successful with the Xbox 360 if they'll do the same deal for the Xbox 720? I think a lot of people would jump at the chance to put $100 down on a next gen console and pay $14.99 a month for a contract. My smartphone is like $59 a month, so its a relatively good deal if they choose to do that.

People aren't reading this right, at least I don't think they are. Microsoft isn't dropping games, they are a huge corporation with a lot of money and can support more than one median. The Xbox brand has grown in the United States to a pretty big level. It makes sense to add to that in the future, it doesn't take away anything from the games aspect, just broadens the appeal of the brand to more people.

People often think that a day one patch means a game is broken at launch. Games have pretty much always needed a day one patch, but until recently it wasn't available. There are tons of glitches and issues with older games and you are just stuck with it.
I'm glad developers patch their games regularly, sometimes they find issues after a game has shipped, so I'm glad when they catch the issues and patch it, that way we don't get stuck with a broken game.
From what I understand when it comes to open world racing games either the environments suffer or the car graphics suffer, Microsoft found a developer and supporter them enough so neither one of those things suffered.
Free to play games thus far haven't really impressed me, and to say that the game should be free is ridiculous. Playground Games put a lot of hard work into the game and Microsoft put a lot of money into the game.

Personally I think it is almost the same situation with Apple products. All of these other companies try to come out with competing products, but there isn't a market for tablets, there is only the Apple market. Sure, some other companies might come along and do okay, but Apple will always come out on top. Its hard for me to admit that because I absolutely hate Apple.

I mean since I've been in office gas has nearly doubled in price, the national debt was raised by over 5 trillion, I haven't passed a single budget, I've raised taxes, bowed to other countries, borrowed from China and then lent that money to Muslim countries, and yet people still want to vote for me.
I think people put too much emphasis on Game Of The Year awards, honestly a lot of those awards pander to certain developers and companies and don't really mean much. I doubt there has ever been a situation where everyone agreed that a single game was the Game Of The Year.

I was on the fence with this game until I played the demo, looks like Forza, plays like Project Gotham/Burnout and looks better than either of those games. Tuesday cannot get here fast enough for me.

Its Halo 4 and Assassins Creed 3, those are arguably the two biggest releases of the year. Buy the games, support the industry or sign up for Gamefly, which is offering the first month free. They ship the entire game, no matter how many disks.
I've had both of these games pre-ordered for some time now, two weeks longer and its AC3 time, a week after that and its Halo 4 time. Good time to be a gamer!

This has been a very long console generation, I'm looking forward to kicking off the next generation with the Wii U in November, really hoping we see an Xbox 720 and PS4 next year sometime.
I know some people who were late to the generation probably want to wait, but the current consoles will still get support, its just that the industry needs new consoles to help with sales and reinvigorate developers and gamers alike.

Honestly there is a fine line between core gamers and other types of gamers. Its almost always core gamers that rush out and buy a new piece of hardware at launch. To Nintendo's credit, they have offered the Wii U at a reasonable launch price point. The games show that Nintendo is serious about 3rd party support, which will offer a lot in the way of core gaming.

It was a very fun, tongue in cheek kind of game, I thought I remembered reading somewhere that it was their best selling game as a developer to date.
It wasn't about sex or anything like that, and the best part of the game was the severed head boyfriend who had great lines throughout the game.
The only downside to the game that I saw was that it was rather short in length, clocking in around 6 hours, but it was still fun.
