Honestly I think this ban just goes to show that the people that use the XBL service are practically handing their gaming souls over to Microsoft. They just went and banned innocent people that got their systems used, or fixed for a cheaper rate just because they themselves as a company weren't making enough money. It's ridiculous if you ask me. Thank God, that the PC is outdoing them.

What need would there be to pay premium? You already get everything without a fee, unless they plan to take that away, which they better not, then there's absolutely no reason to pay.
