The same could be said about Microsoft. Why do you think they BUY titles instead of MAKING them? Gears of War is a 3rd party title that's owned by EPIC GAMES, not MICROSOFT. :|
In one of the gameplay segments, I saw like 7 of those alien things in the whole environment... :|
Of course, people will disagree, but the only time we ever saw so many aliens was during the cut scenes.
I actually liked the trailer, looked really nice. It was hectic, and delivered the message. I'm not really familiar with the story about Gears, but it started to sound as if this was a trailer for R2. But I'm still leaning towards the Helghan trailer, way more badass.
I didn't like the dialogue in the Gears trailer though. Just sounds way too corny "HUMANITY FACES EXTINCTION, WE MUST END THIS WAR"... Sounded too robotic compared to "Our guns never tire, and we have...
I was honestly expecting to see the Xbox on that list... They only covered a bit of it as part of the HD-DVD part...
What are you talking about? LBP is also another one of those 10/10 games and I'll tell you that 360 games have also been overhyped (*coughhalocoughgearscough)
Plus, this is our 2ND year and look at the achievements devs have made. MGS4 with it's awesome story and graphics, R2 for it's scale and content, and LBP for it's replayability. Your xbox happens to be in it's 3RD year and all I'm seeing is Gears and Fable. Plus, people have found all the glitches associated with multiplaye...
The only thing I can predict about that would be that RRoD wouldn't be as bad. Also, pretty much every game would be pushed back by a year and the 360 would've died out quicker. I mean really now, you can't put GeoW2 against KZ2 or Fable 2 against White Knight Chronicles.
All you're doing it running away from comparing KZ2 to Gears 2 and instead you're comparing a 3RD PARTY TITLE across both systems. Face it, KZ2 graphics are several times better than anything you'll ever see on your Xbox!

Besides, even if you've got a smaller HDD, use an external HDD for your other stuff. Also, anyone can figure out how to swap the hard drive, and big HDDs really aren't that expensive...

I don't like Gears mainly because of the intense gore. You may find this funny, but like Miyamoto said, you don't need excess violence to capture the attention of a gamer.
So are you saying that what was once good can't become better? What's so bad about change? I agree with what you said about R1 but you've got to acknowledge that it was indeed a launch title and from what I remember the 360 didn't really have any good launch titles. R1 was Insomniac's first title on the PS3 and this was also a time when making games on the PS3 was still confusing.
