It's probably just the hardware again, and the fact that installed games don't cause that much stress on the DVD drive is a good thing. But I don't think this feature is gonna cure the problem, most likely gonna lessen the chance.

They can implement those features you get on NXE if they want.
What's bad about it? Its simple enough to use, and you can make custom themes if you like. It's not like you stare at your main menu all day on your 360 right? I don't know about you, but I'm either playing a game or using the browser, not staring at a menu.
PC gamers get it free, Wii owners get it free, PS3 gets it free, so why not make your service free?
I get in this kind of arguement with the Xbox owners at school (my school's gaming community is largely dominated by them). I just say that I don't like paying for online. They then think I'm cheap because I can't afford to pay about $4 a month.
But the main thing is that I should get online FREE because I solely PAID for the game already. That $50 I'd be spending on...
You're also forgetting that you can do the same with XBL. All you need is a hotmail account.
About time you guys did some damage control. There's been quite a number of articles on this matter, and it seems like people on N4G are starting to get it now. I don't see as much hate towards the PS3 as I did a week ago. Btw, I still miss pp and FBI :(

I don't think they're the best (still gotta consider Kojima, Naughty Dog and some others). I've been playing R & C on the PS2, but I didn't get Future because it lacked online like Deadlocked and UYA.
That's originally why I bought one. It was far back in 2006 when I was on the Wii boat. I jumped off around in 2007 because of the lack of games that I liked on it.
Now I want to sell it and get a PSP but the price is the issue right now. Ah well, maybe over the summer. I just want to use it for Remote Play and Killzone Liberation.
