Post apocalyptic rituals go into effect. Children are a commodity. Yeah, marriage, pregnancy, and death as a result seem likely in that setting. Awful.... put that feature in the game.
The comparison ends at open world jrpg. the combat systems do not look similar to me, neither do the production values.
I'm extremely excited for both of these games. But we should respect both developers enough not to compare&contrast these games - especially before they release.

That's like not watching the Knicks because Isaiah Thomas put out a few poor teams for a few years.
If the knicks are publishers and thomas a developer then yes you still have the same publisher but a new developer(general manager) putting out a new product under a familiar brand name.
Ignoring this new product from a different developer based on a small sample size from a publisher that has a larger sample size of quality games is childish.

If they're truly striving for an interesting combat system in a massive open world with an intriguing setting&plot then the game to measure up against will be xenoblade chronicles x.

And I think it's wonderful. There is a city in the other trailers if I remember correctly. So this shouldn't be a surprise. It just shows that we will have a vast, diverse, world to explore.
