PS3 has bluray so doesn't need install since the whole game can be loaded from BD as you play. 360 has DVD small size, plus not guaranteed HDD on every console to install 2nd disk.
It is a problem when you compare it to the fact that PS4 is much smaller and includes the power supply inside the PS4 unit.
In Electronics as parts get smaller they become more expensive (phones being more expensive than tablets, ultrabooks being more expensive than regular laptops). It shows that microsoft made no effort in making the parts smaller in order to maximize their profits at the expense of customers like you who see no problem with the added bulk of an external power supp...

It's flash memory, it's not 16gb hdd. the hdd slot will be empty and upgradable for sure.
Wait until it grows on you. 16GB model only means this thing will be starting at $150 for the 16GB model, $200 for the 250GB model and $250 for the 500GB model.
Another Prediction: All new PS3 consoles have an internal 16GB flash storage. the cheap model doesn't have a hard drive, but you can put any 2.5" HDD, unlike XBOX. The other two models have HDDs that are also replaceable.

Who da thunk a Kia would ever get you more pussy than a fun Nintendo console. but yeah, It's nice to know that there are people here that have things to think about other than games. Come to think of it my Honda accord cost me less than my launch day PS3. Seriously, I will steer clear from ever buying an expensive launch day console, beginning with the Vita.

A Goddam CPU and GPU that are Worthy of the Next Gen title.
- 8 Core 3 ghz CPU
- Dual NVIDIA 760 GPU setup (Think the popular and economic 560 sli)
- 4gb DDR3 Ram
I would be happy to shell out $500-$600 for that knowing that it will actually last me until 2020.
If Sony chooses to go with these weak specs in order to cut costs, the next gen games might not look that much more superior than PS3 graphics, and a good chunk of their fans won't find any reason to upgrade right away.
I am definitely not happy with the PS4 having a single GPU that is weak. I have a feeling that Sony wants to reduce their PS life cycles in half to 3 years instead of 6. They might justify that by claiming future backward compatibility with the following PS5.
I have always loved PS games and only had a PS3 this Generation. I might get the nextbox if it's more powerful for the cross platform games, but would obviously have to pick up the PS4 for the exclusives.
