Making sure indie devs don't go bankrupt by taking a chance when making a good game is paying for exclusivity? Sony are just trying to support indie devs so that they can have a chance in this fierce market.
Yes it means that the games won't appear on other platforms, but what if the game bombed in sales but was still amazing? If they don't make the money back spent on the development then we won't have a sequel or another quality game. This is why I love Son...

I honestly can't fathom what Sony can bring to the table to combat the 3DS. And that's coming from a person that never liked the DS even after owning one. Ocarina of Time, Metal Gear Solid 3, and Megaman Legends 3? That's three of my favorite series RIGHT THERE.
