Plenty of games that run at a native 1080p? Hardly my friend. On what console? The PS3 and 360 have the capabilities to do it with some games, but most of said games are hardly very engaging. Hell there are a total of 29 games on both PS3 and 360 that run at 1080p (that's a combined number). Most are sports games, hardly anything compared to games like Crysis, Oblivion, Gears on the computer, ect. All can run at 1080p nativity and then some. And last I checked, multiplatform games have better...
You guys are limiting your thoughts to consoles. PC's render the image at these extreme resolutions why consoles need to upscale. Upscaling is like blowing up the picture. Native resolutions are the real deal That's why PC gaming is and always be superior. You get what you pay for I guess.

You should look at the Intel Q6600. Quad Core at 2.4Ghz Stock. Overclockers DREAM. Hits 3.0Ghz on air EASY. People have even gotten it to 4Ghz with water cooling! And its $180 on newegg. Cheap! I can't wait to get mine!
