There are many features out or coming out for the current gen consoles (live streaming,share play, etc.) that were not available last gen. A new console never achieves its stride in the first year anyway. Revisit this in a few years and this article will look short sighted.

Its not a matter of taste, its a matter of execution. The world of Destiny is repetitive and hollow. It is not a ten year formula. They have to go very big with this game and very soon or mark these words. The interest will fade, its not as ambitious as they first made out. Can you honestly tell me the world of Destiny can even come close to living up to their nod to an mmo or persistent world that they leaned on early in marketing campaign?
Bungie says they see this game lasting ten years. Even if they drop lots of dlc I will bet it will be forgotten in less than five years. I feel that's even too generous.
The game is dull. The locations are lifeless. The game play is repetitive. Gamergate had nothing to do with the bad reviews. Borderlands did it better.

I little too soon to say "all love". Destiny is still only hype. I am sure there will be plenty that don't like it. So silly people want to already proclaim it game of the year.
The only year I have made comments about the game being a rip off is this year. I also am not buying it this year. So...your point was what again?

I bought into the initial hype. The way it was first presented made me very excited for the game. Then I played the beta and it definitely (at least to me) was very different then I was made to believe. I am passing on it. It looks like a very repetitive game with limited content (with more to follow for more money) and a short campaign. Why is this game the uber game again? What is so awesome about it? Honest question.

The list of missing features is huge. They are selling an unfinished game...not to me though.
I bet if they were outselling PlayStation they would be reporting the numbers on the regular. I don't really care who "wins". It just bothers me that PR people seem to think we are unintelligent. We know why you don't post the numbers.
Its funny you say sites lose cred for giving 6/10 reviews. I played Destiny and its meh. Any site giving it 8/10 lost cred with me. Its a half effort game seriously.
