Totally agree, it's always been the attraction about consoles to me. They were designed so devs could squeeze out every bit of juice. Real coding went out the window years ago. Now its forever moaning about tech specs. Get creative and push the tech to its limits.
Love all the Uncharted games, but 2 will always be my favourite.
The funny thing is the pc crowd always scoff at consoles. No doubt the pc can probably out gun the ps5 but at what cost ? And I expect the majority of the ones who bang on about pc's being so much better probably have a shit rig that no doubt struggles to truly hit or best ps5. Personally specs mean shit to me I just love great games!! No matter how much you polish a turd, it doesn't hide a crap game. And what game on pc can't run on console, yes a few compromises but nothing real...
Personally I don't give a monkeys about slim or pro. Let's see the devs max out the existing tech that damn launched originally. All this promise of ground breaking stuff running on Unreal 5, still waiting....
This game still looks better than most of the stuff today. Not pushing this franchise on, was a big mistake from Sony. The story, the Characters had so much more to give.
Just can't beat the PS5 !!
Lots of bitter little Nintendo haters on here as usual. I have PS5 & Switch so win win. And the longer the console generations last the better. Luckily the Megadrive has a thriving indie dev scene. But that's because it's legendary, something the new systems will never match.
Nothing much that interests me again, starting to wonder why I bought the headset. Still no sign of Astrobot!!
Probably pick it up on PS5 when it's dirt cheap. With regards to PS4 version no doubt it will be cut back here and there but its still the same game. To much emphasis & obsession with 4k 60fps.
Deservedly so love Dread & Samus returns. Amazing 2D gaming 👌
You said it, Microsoft are playing the long game they can't beat Sony in the console arena. So what are they doing buying everything they can from under Sony. So when streaming catches up they will have everything to monopolise the market. Unfortunately they will have all the infrastructure in place when it comes. What does Sony do ? I don't know, hopefully they will realise they need to there own thing like Nintendo to keep going. That's my take on Microsoft & there underhand...
You say that. But that's the sort of shit they have in these games to pad em out. Chasing pigeons! Maybe the next side quest will be buying a tramp a coffee. But not spilling any on the way back lol
And this why I prefer consoles, none of this compatibility shit. I want to play games not mess around with hardware constantly.
I agree, most games are remasters or, PS4/PS5 cross gen. Unfortunately tech has it a ceiling, nothing on PS5 will truly blow away anything on PS4. Just have to except that we won't be getting that generational leap anymore like gens before. Devs just need to be more creative instead of banging out the same shit year in year out.
Obviously your not fan of these types of games, pointless review really. I'm a diehard retro gamer, so I certainly haven't forgotten about operation wolf. Not everyone wants open world, crafting, level grinding etc.. some of us love arcade games from 2D shooters to rail shooters. I'm sick of fps, rhythm games in VR. More games like Operation wolf, Astrobot, Moss would be more refreshing.
Which ever way you spin it, the PS5 has more to offer than the Xbox. No point being in denial about it. The sales of hardware speaks for itself. Personally I play my Switch more than my PS5. But no doubt it will get plenty of play time eventually. Covid knackered this gen, and to be honest I won't be rushing out to buy next gen hardware next time. Except for the next Nintendo offering
Microsoft have been on about this crap for years. Its about time they got there heads out the clouds and started making games.
Nintendo are in a great place the Switch is still up there. When Nintendo choose to release the next system I'll be there.
My retro collection is bigger & better than this service will ever be.
