didn't have gear shifting enabled, but you controlled acceleration/braking with your foot. Foot forward meant gas, footbackward meant brakes.
Forza Kinect doesn't have acceleration or braking or shifting gears. You just steer the car.
Both games were optimized for standing as well, Forza dev's even think it would probably have some problems with a sitting player.

It'd probably be fun, but you definitely would not be able to do macro as fast as an experienced PC player.

the game is very good. Luckily Molyneux's has cut down his hyping, although I'm still willing to bet there is going to be stuff missing from the game that he said there would be.

but any gesture based actions require you to stand because they are still "calibrating for sitting". There are a few problems with kinect working while sitting right now, and so far even Aaron Greenburg has said you can only sit during certain programs and games.
arcade models are gonna be extremely cheap on websites such as amazon/Ebay. Probably will be able to get one for under $80, but you might want to make sure that its not
