no its not. Many are just on the hate train. Watch some reviews on it and decide.
Who cares if there is a upgraded version. Doesn't mean your console is obsolete. If it plays on both it shouldn't matter to anyone. Every electronic/vehicle etc... offer different models, just some have nicer features but your basically getting the same experience.
lucky for you those games aren't full price anymore and you can get them dirt cheap.
