This game was always only gonna be bought and liked by a niche group of gamers...me among them :p
Mmm...can't wait to try out some of the cheap tactics on offer :p
They know people want him, so they're gonna sell him as DLC instead.
All this talk about 'lack of moves' is just an excuse..
Of course she'd jump at a chance to do it again; it means more money for her!
That said, I'd look forward to Mirror's Edge 2 as well :)
Some of my most favourite games are on the list..
...but where's Planescape: Torment?! The best among Bioware's IE games, methinks!
Imagine if the victim knew who Kevin Butler was...she'd knew it was fake in an instant.
Excerpt from the article:
---With Sony out of the picture, Hirsch (Vivid CEO) is now looking to Microsoft: “If we could get further than we did with Sony [on Xbox 360], we’d be very interested.” Yep, have fun with that. Microsoft’s user-base is younger than Sony’s---
I laughed my ass off :D
The problem is, how many reviewers can actually be trusted to be objective? They never state their what their objective standard actually is. Some reviewers penalise a game harshly for some negative aspects of it, while not properly accounting for its strengths. Two recent examples i can think of is Nier and Alpha Protocol. Now, before some of you come out saying that its a 'FACT' that those two games are shit; think about it for a second. The fact that those two games are heavily pol...
Resources and time that could have gone into lengthening or polishing on the single-player part of the game will be diverted to the multiplayer part. Sure, some games turn out awesome, like Uncharted 2, but there's a risk right there.
I was about to go on a long rant about the stupidity of game-buying based on reviews alone, but looks like you've covered most of my points (+bubbles for you!)
What I do mostly now is read a few reviews, then go to the game's forums and ask around. You get more specific answers that way, and fellow gamers (more often than not, though there are exceptions) are quite honest about what they like and don't like. Following that method, I've yet to be disappointed i...
One review from some unknown website and everyone's already calling this game crap?
Wait and see the overall review numbers first, or better yet, give it a rent and try it out
It would be a shame if people judge this game based on graphics alone (which is what some people are doing judging from the comments).
Dragon Age, for instance, has decent but not phenomenal graphics, but the gameplay & story is truly amazing. I'm hoping Alpha Protocol is the same
Stop being graphic whores (some of you), or you'll miss out on some awesome games!
Could it be that SE's making a game to rival Red Dead Redemption?! :p
I get the reference, this being an issue of SE's views on westernisation, but Nier is actually pretty good. Especially with the older protagonist.
That aside, SE's track record so far does make it hard to trust them...
I actually skipped buying Red Dead Redemption to save money for this instead :D
From the looks of it, this game plays very similarly to Mass Effect & Dragon Age, interaction-wise at least. (which makes it an instant win in my book). And while their games might not have been universally praised, Obsidian have always entertained me.
Got it pre-ordered, hopefully it'll be in my hands this friday :)
How many of you guys have pre-ordered this?
PS3 exclusives competing with PS3 exclusives....there really is no competition :)
I've never watched jimmy fallon before....are all his shows this awkward?
The Uncharted 3 debut was cringe-worthy too..
