Because halo was released last year, and obviously, killzone is more up to date.
And to be honest, Killzone 2's online is superbly done. And having played the beta, i'd have to honestly say that it surpasses halo 3's online.
Im not saying halo 3 sucks, im just saying that halo 3 once set the standard for an online FPS, and now killzone used that standard and turned it up a notch.
I cant wait to see other FPSs that beat the crap out of killzone 2, becaus...

The blur is a gaussian blur that the unreal engine uses to fake better ligthing/fx. Its the cheap way of doing Motion blur, when your hardware can't handle individual motion vectors per objects, Like Uncharted can.
