I actually found the solo missions more enjoyable than fire teams so far, once a few mates jumped on the game it felt more generic, run, point shoot. but the story is quite compelling better than I thought.
I took the day off work to play Destiny today and it was so worth it.
I remember bungie saying some levels are only accessible past a certain level cap, i think 18 if i remember correctly. A game that requires peoples participation, runs the risk of not getting too many takers on the first bite. Hence the marketing overdrive.If the games success is founded on people getting online to play, it might not even get off the ground based on some of the comments i have seen and read on here alone.
I often cringe when i see these types of games, villanising other peoples country's as terrorist, yet they try and sell these games over there too. No wander, Russia and Korea are banning this games coming into their country.
I would ban it too if I was a president of one of these nations.
That's why i thick Destiny makes sense. At least if you fight aliens from out of space it the becomes us against them Martians.

I actually get your point. Hopefully Bungie will address this at some point, cause although a lot of games are gearing towards social interaction, i myself still enjoy playing through mission alone in some games.

I usually support the villains in hero movies, they are always misunderstood, kind of like the Joker or Bane from Batman. If you really research their backstory you will come to discover that it wasn't only pretty boy bat face who had a troubled childhood.
