After people already put well over 300 dollars into paying for Live over the years it's about time they get some sort of reward. Still it's a bit insulting if people decide to make a big deal about this when PS Plus has been providing monthly content for its subscribers.
Looks like I'm not buying it. I don't even play Simcity that I bought on Origin because I forget that I have it since I always have one game service open(steam obviously).
Titanfall is source engine game though. It will be hilarious in a wrong way if it isn't on Steam.
If I had the money to spare I would build myself a PS4 laptop. It would have been great if Linux never became the PS3's key to getting hacked. Maybe the PS4 would have been able to install Linux too or Steam OS. Maybe the custom hardware would conflict with it anyways.
Ryse was supposed to come out on 360 a few years ago. Now that it's out it is basically last gen gameplay garnished with graphics and facial animation focus, even though it isn't a good story-based game that needs focus on character expression. It's only 3 hours long too. Honestly if people consider it a good game it's because of the new console nostalgia and seeing next-gen graphics for the first time.
Ryse has less advanced AI, not so complex combat, more copies of the same soldiers in the background having scripted fights, a lot of scripted events, and is 900p at 30fps. Not to mention the 3 hour campaign, of course they have time to make it look pretty.
Killzone has very advanced AI that acts dynamically based on their surroundings and your decisions, all the characters you see are actual AI, has more AI that communicate with each other and respond to you simultaneously, ...
They had their Playstation branded 3DTV for around $300 and $200 when the TV's were still quite costly. Hopefully their headset, if it is true, is as cheap and of high quality.
Sony is really good about studying new techniques and eventually providing them to their studios. I wonder if other developers will be able to access this update or if it's an exclusive technology.

It certainly isn't better then Killzone graphically. Killzone is widely considered by reviewers as ahead of Ryse in technical graphics.

4. People still use the sound excuse. The game already fills up a whole bluray disc and still has a huge installation. Sounds take up an enormous amount of space, especially 1200 specific cars to record. The driving is the most important. This isn't a sound simulator. This is a racing simulator. They will address this eventually. But perhaps for the next game while they are busy porting assets over they will have the free time to have a separate department take car of adding the sounds.
1. Assetto Corsa in this video has almost the exact same results for this car which they have more focus on because of their lower car count. GT has equal physics on a lesser powerful platform with far more cars they have to focus on.

Oh I know that. Just from Borderlands 2 it doesn't let me turn on PhysX when I have the software installed. It should let it be processed by my CPU since I don't have a NVidia card.
I wonder if allowing Nvidia cards to run PhysX applications as a secondary card while your main card is an AMD card would make sales go up or down. I think sales would go up for a little bit from a few AMD users but then would go down in the long run since a dedicated PhysX card does not need to be upgraded for a long time.
