I think you're missing the point as a faithful gen 1 remake with just the let's go mechanics added to it. In that sense, the game succeeds.
I do understand what you're saying, but I do believe all the features that were missing from let's go will be present in the gen 8 Pokémon game.

Mmhhmmm and Indie games on Switch are selling ten times better than XB and PS and even PC their supposed home. Also, Nintendo exclusives are destroying Sony and Microsoft in sales so my original comment was entirely true .

Last gen tech didn't fit in the palm of your hands . Switch supports modern engines like UE4, last generation did not.

The later content in Mario Odyssey is just as challenging as any other Mario game, some of the moon's are incredibly difficult to locate. Super Mario Odyssey is an absolutely amazing game and you're mad if you think otherwise.
