No the ps2 is not the greatest console of all time. I much prefered the Xbox 1 and gamecube that generation.
The MAIN reason it was so successfull was the DVD p,ayer and all the buzz, sing and dance games. Half of the installed base was either casual or just using it as a dvd player that their kids could play on.
The ps1 is the greatest Sony console.

It's OK to have a favorite system or even a favorite company. Mine is Nintendo because I have my fondest gaming memories linked with Nintendo first party games through my whole life.
But that doesn't mean I don't have a ps3 and a 360 sat right here with me. Because they have amazing games too.

Tablets will never catch console power up. They will always be 2 Generations behind. The 3DS and Vita are both way better than todays tablets in Gaming. They have better , bigger games with buttons and large storage.
