HDDVD isnt going anywhere, Blu-ray isnt either. You can comment on this battle as much as you like but the way I see it is its no different to the DVD+RW Vs DVD-RW.
There will eventually be players that will play both formats, a year or so from now youll be hard pushed to be able to buy a player that doesnt play both. PS3 and 360 add on being the exception, apart from of course theyll be changed to play either too.

Having the Core gives Microsoft a cheap way to get ppl in2 360 gaming. They have a huge advantage here over Sony with price. The hard drive not being in the Core jkeeps the price right down... Yes Drives do come down in price but only so far comparded to chips etc...
www.there.com its well good and FREE but you can end up spending an absolute fortune on bits n bobs.... I think this is a great thing for PS3 and think that there will definatly be something similar on 360...
The PS3 will drop in price significantly by 2008.
If the PS3 sells by the million all through the summer and all the way to christmas with Wii type sales then perhaps they can keep their price, but we all know this isnt going to happen. Microsoft will see to that with big 360 price drops....

Yeah the screenshots look great but come on, wheres the pic you play? All the shots dont look like in game to me. Its like the story CGI more like.

If you guys think thats an in game playable shot you cant have a brain cell between you.
When disney made the film Cars, a cgi film by the way, it took banks of top computers to render the graphics, even then it wasnt in real time. Theres no way any console could render Cars this gen or next gen either. The CGI on this final fantasy game looks even more detailed than the latest Disney CGI cartoon, so for now, DREAM ON!!!!
Games for PS3 and Xbox360 are the things that sell consoles but what this article talks about is the thing that really decides it for the future. Well its me then...The Wiis crap, its a figment of my imagination that everyone who plays it at my home wants one and its all in my mind when I see them laugh and say how much fun it is. It bugs me, ppl keep saying the Wii isnt next Gen as always refering to the graphic capibilities of the machine.

And the Preimium £199 the same month Sony launches. No way is that PS3 going to sell here in the UK. The 360 has been out over a year but its still percieved as a brand new out machine. The shop shelves are full of 360 games including pre used ones from just £15..
I just cant see how Sony can turn it around, the games they have coming on launch day are just not good enough!

And I have to say that the word and buzz on the street for the PS3 is shockingly non existant. With PS2 there was hysteria months before it even came out, it was hype hype hype. PS3 there seems to be nothing, perhaps a few adverts on tv will turn it around but Im sceptical, somethings just not right.

As for Sony and the preorder crap, well its launching in March Sony knows full well there aint going to be queues of people buying the things at over £400 a pop.
Its a COVER up and anyone older than 18 years old with any sense knows it.
And the month it launches the 360 is going to drop from £209 and £279 to around £149 to £199 by the way the Wii cost £179 in the UK and I suspect that to drop to £149 around the same time too.
If Microsoft does drop by this amount the PS3 is dead in the water, theres just noway its going to sell..
