Go back to N4G in Sept 2010 and have a look at the comments when Microsoft said they are hoping to sell 3 million Kinects by Christmas.
Now they HAVE sold over double that amount, the whingers are giving us the Sold Vs Shipped rubbish.

Kinect was the right way to go for Microsoft.
I was suprised but thats probably because I was stupid enough to come on this site and believe all the talk about the terrible lag that makes Kinect unplayable.
When I had my first go on Kinect I was amazed how accurate it was. The navagation of the menus was just great.
I still hear the games are rubbish and the good ones only last a few hours at most.

Kinect is selling amazingly.
Before november everyone laughed when MS said they will sell 3 million by the end of the year.
They laughed harder when they said they will sell closer to 5 million.
They have now sold 8 million. Lets say theres 5 million not sold thru, they have still sold 3 million in 2 months thats great.

I can only see this getting even better for MS as I find that everyone that gives Kinect a try all end up buying it.
Its the No controller that does it mainly for the casuals but also for some of the hardcore too as Ive had friends who cant believe how good it works.

I sold my PS3 just as it started playing up with YLOD. I may buy a slim in the next few weeks but am waiting to see if their lasting.

I have had 5 PS2s and all of them have had laser problems, the original Xbox is still going fine.
Yes RROD was a nightmare but at least MS gave us a 3 year extended warrenty even if you bought 2nd hand like I did.
