That type of mechanism in those games has nothing compared to what MS exaggerated about what Kinect's capable of.
Where have all the gameplay from the ads gone ?
IGN and several medias confirm that sitting player cannot be fully tracked by Kinect. It depends on the developers and MS told them to focus on making game for standing players. As well as navigating in the Kinect Menu, you have to stand up everytime for fluent tracking.
