The best thing this console gen has taught me is that consoles are bad business. If I had a pc and bought BF3 on steam 5 years ago I'd still be able to play it even when upgrading my system. Upgrading on a console means losing access to paid content if trading in an old system which I do and so do many others. The remasters, PlayStation now, ps2 emulation. Insulting. A dev can't drive 180 mph in a stock Prius. All devs with enough allocation resources would rather have 1080 and 60 for game marketing than either or. I want to do 75mph to work in the morning but I ride a bike. That being said there could be almost always be better optimization and definitely better write software for consoles.
