They've always been the most fan-friendly game company. Not believing in paid dlc and wanting gamers to get their money's worth. What other $60 game comes with a soundtrack disc, a map and a thick book? The witcher 2 did, and the witcher 3 will. I was suprised to see a season pass for it, but it's normal price. Their reasoning; psn/xbl doesn't allow dlc to be totally free, and they are still working on the dlc levels. So when they finish they are forced to charge.

Honestly- this is the most immersive game ive ever played. When your out and about and night hits, its terrifying. Especially if your able to transfer yourself into a game and create consequences for yourself.
You dont need to use all the silly electric weapons and stuff like that. It gives you theoption to play a very realistic game.
