That is a soft way of saying Microsoft is ditching the 360 early. Sony is still supporting the Ps2 and I am positive they will do the same for PS3. Sony may be dealing with 3rd place right now but they are not trailing by much. The Ps3 is just now tapping into it's true power and the 360 is losing steam.
That is the difference between the companies. Microsoft does not think ahead like Sony when it comes to technology.
If Microsoft releases an upgraded console next year they are basically admitting that the 360 can not keep up with the Ps3.
Sony just improved upon their motion controller. The same thing Nintendo did with the motion plus. Nothing wrong with that.
