the ps2 is selling alongside the ps3.. and has exceeded 10 years. they didnt wait for the ps2 to reach 10 years before releasing the ps3 nor did they wait for the ps1 to reach 10 years before releasing the ps2.

you are right for the most part, but the reason i imagine most are annoyed by multiple disks is because it causes devs to have to cut content... microsoft charges royalties for each disk so a multi disk game will result in a smaller profit margin for the 360 version. id confirmed this about rage... and we all know what was cut from ff13...
the thing most people are forgetting is that aside from the games, rentals, ps+ and qriocity sony is also offering a full year of identity theft protection for free..... that is the compensation that matters, the other stuff is just icing on the cake.

haha. no it wasnt bad, but thats the problem.. the final fantasy name comes with an expectation of exceptional quality and ff13 fell just short of this expectation.
in other words final fantasy's biggest crime was being merely "good".

naw, im pleased with what sony is offering. they are eating the costs of all this free stuff, in addition to 3 weeks lost profit, one full year of IDENTITY THEFT PROTECTION FOR ALL USERS, royalties for all music through qriocity and the weekend of movie rentals.

... dude a console gen is almost alway 5 years long. just because sony says the ps3 has a 10 year life does not mean that the ps4 will come out once the ps3 is done. if that were so why is the ps2 still being sold? and why didnt sony wait until this year to release the ps3?
