Something else that might affect the 360 figures is m$ has not issued any massive ban-waves lately. That typically will cause people to buy a new console. On a brighter note, less boxes are failing with the introduction of the slim.
ROFLMAO; Gamertags/scores mean nothing to people that are getting free 360 games. The amount of money these people save on buying games easily compensates for the money they spend on new consoles yearly. Good for the pirate, good for M$. Besides, anyone that goes online with a pre-release knows the deal and the risk. Probably not their main live account to begin with.
ps. m$ will never be able to brick a system. Can you imagine the lawsuits for consoles that might ...
Fileplanet members are now able to join the beta. I was able to gain access, but had an WTF moment when I found you have to install it to your C: drive. If like me, I don't have 12gb of free space on my c: partition :(.
Piracy is hurting the pc market in a simple linear way. Because the console version of any multi-platform title is released on the console FIRST, and is then pirated FIRST, it allows we PC gamers to guage just how POS the game is and decide not to buy it. The PC version may still be pirated to hell-and-back, but no one would have purchased the POS in the first place. The truth is that speaking specifically about the 360, its games are pirated FIRST and in just as large as numbers as the pc...
I truly wish people would grow-up and realize all this 'piracy is killing gaming' is just hype perpetrated by the gaming industry to draw attention away from the fact that most of their games suck and cost too much. If the industry was loosing as much money as they profess to then they would simply STOP developing for that platform. Trust me, the same crap was being distributed in the 70's about this and the gaming industry survived just fine.
The fact game designers have lost all innovation does not help any of the platforms either. Speaking of which, I've heard rumors that Halo 4 can be completed in 5 hours.
