there is no no-script, privacy controls. Chrome reports every url you type into the address bar. Wait, excuse me, that is not true. Chrome reports every partial url you type into chrome into google. With chrome, google's motto of don't be evil is sort of a joke. I will never use chrome, NEVER NEVER NEVER
Oh yeah, well VHS is better than DVD, so suck it!
one blu ray layer is 25 gb. Almost all blu rays are dual layered.

Also, whats funny about the wiki is that it mentioned this disc as the blu ray. I don't know why to pioneer thinks it's a good idea to market the disc as incompatible when it could be.
This just sounds like a 16 layer blu-ray. Maybe not, but a 16 layered blue ray would be 400gb. Moreover, it's not really fair to claim your "bigger than blu-ray" when you are comparing it to a two layered disc. Forget this thing, why don't they just gradually increase the layers on blu ray like they did with DVD.

Well, it's number #1 today, so who cares.
Om, clearly they are getting rid of their inventory
People who don't have internet? They need to get with the program for more reasons than just videogames!
That is kind of the point for me. I have been waiting a long time for OLED's to come out so I could buy a plasma! I don't think sony is really the inovator of this, it's been in the works for a long time by many people, but If they continue on their focus right now they will have the best.
Samsung has already produced a 27inch, and others can make big ones. This is actually kind of old news really--the main problem with oled's is the life of the blue diodes, not size. It is true that sony is not the inovator on this, although it is now their main focus. No major player can really claim inovation on this; the paten was created 10-15 years ago by Kodak, and they still own it.
Afordable nanotubes? Lets get out of the early R&D phase before we call a tech that is currently last in line of new display tech affordable. There is already an OLED tv in production, so I would stick with the tech that I have already seen a produced example of.
Folks, this article makes a great misstatement by saying that the Cell is handled for modern games. PS3 / CELL > then modern games. Postmodern games if you will. Cells are also used as super high end workstation components (don't forget it's 100 gflops). The stuff about communication between appliances was really an afterthought, and is unfortunately (along with all this modern game stuff) is a gross mis characterization that is repeated over and over again. The problem is with developers...

OMG KILLZONE LOOKS LIKE KRAP!!!! ROFLMAO ALL DAYS LOWNG IF YOU THINK THAT LOOKS GOOD. I SAW HALO3 TRAILERS AND IT LOOKED SOO GOOOD I POOPED AND I LOOKED DOWN AT IT AND SAID O LOOK, THEREZ KILLZONE. YOU SONY FANBOIZ WILL NEVER PLAY KILLZONES CAUSE SONY WILL LOOSE ALL THEIR MONEY AND GO BANKRUPT THEN YOULL ALL HAVE TO BUY ZUNES AND XBOXS!!!!!!! XBOX RULEZ YOU!!!!!!
Good, you're a retarded racist--we don't want you
First of all, I am an audiophile, so besides ps3 having SACD and blu-ray support, all of these games(this and killzone specifically), having uncompressed 7.1 surround, (the uncompressed being really appealing--i.e. better qual than dolby digital or DTS) is really pushing my buttons. I'm sure 99 percent of xbox people dont care about that, but that's just a different perspective I guess. You're right that these ports for ps3 have not been great, but if they come out later they do tend to get a...
A key feature to the cell is that the spe's can communicate with eachother on the same die, and that threads are coordinated by the ppu which guides thread execution, in contrast to raw thread execution one at a time. This is more along lines of future desktop processors, like amd phenom for example, in which cores communicate with eachother's cache on the die rather than returning to the l1 cache, even though they are cpu cores rather than spe's. Secondly, particularly for games, the differe...
Yeah, that's why killzone uses multiple spu's to do geometry rendering and lighting effects and lets the gpu chill out whilst pushing great graphics, your gpu centric xbox has it's loud fan blowing while it's gpu frantically hits the ceiling to do render non-evolving graphics
Yeah, except this is an unsustainable business strategy, because A. Games like killzone and uncharted will really push the envelope of what is possible, and to neglect investing and developing games for ps3 will no longer be profitable in the long term, as they will not be able to compete with high quality games if they do the easy dx10 -> xbox conversion and B. the entire industry is moving in the direction of heavily multi-core cpu processing. To invest in systems like the ps3 for third ...
That's cool
