Not so sure I care about questonable morality in a game of this nature with such over the top characterisations? There are many other titles with more questionable moralities.
I'm pretty interested in playing this, it looks like great fun and I've preordered already. Guess I'll soon see if that was a mistake! :-D
The game is certainly an excellent example of well honed and imaginative levels. The more I play it, the more I appreciate the thought and variety in its design. Best ever? Probably not, but a damn fine and shiney example of the genre for sure....
I'm intrigued for sure! Nice to see so many different types of games being developed at the moment. I enjoy games that are a little bit quirky inbetween the big hitting AAA's....
I owned four of these - and have emulators for most of the rest.
The super grafix was great, what they dont mention is it played all pc engine games, so it was shoot em up heaven!
The handheld pc engine was also great, by far the best portable of the time...
Back then fan boys would argue over maximum no of sprites and sprite size instead of teraflops and res! Same old arguments though, nothing changes :-D
Me to! Looks pretty - I'll have to pick this up!
Well anyone without full hd tv certainly won't benefit, and I suspect that's quite few younger gamers.
Most others will certainly see the difference, and I find it very obvious myself. Its hardly the most important aspect to make a game great, but its certainly worth having higher resolutions when it doesn't adversley affect other gameplay elements.
The reason its so often quoted is that for a multiplat engine, its the nearest you can get to a benchmark score com...
Perfectly valid viewpoint - except where you state that xbox was not the leading platform in the uk.
With the exception of the states, the uk was their most dominant market last gen, and therefore a good test for them to see if price drop will bring out the large numbers of 360 owners to buy into the new platform.
I don't know that desperare is the right word, but its clearly a move designed to stimulate sales in an important xbox market....
With demand appearing to outstrip supply, there is no way its likely to be considered.. More likey they will release another well priced bundle pack once supply has caught up.
I'm now even more undecided on this! I expect divergent reviews for everything, but this game is getting very mixed reports - some complaing of unplayable framerates and others stating its smooth ( except for cut scenes). I am tempted though as I love stealth play....
Really informative review. As a fan of elder scrolls games, but not an mmo player, my interest is certainly piqued, The entry price is just a little to high though for someone like me who needs convincing of the merits of mmo's over single player experiences...,
Still love their art style!
Nice to see the devolpment team working so hard towards a problem free release.
My personel gaming preference is not for multiplayer shooters, but this looks good enough that I'd like to try it anyway! This is bound to be a big sucess for them and looks like they deserve accolades for bringing some fresh ideas to genre that many fealt was getting a bit stale
Never got the tv connectivity thing, I just cant see the mass appeal of it at all.
However, I never thought waving your arms around in front of your tv would have such mass appeal, but the wi showed me I dont understand the mass market at all......
Maybe the tv thing will grab the markets imagination and open the machine to a bigger market after all, but early indications would suggest they will need to push this aspect a little harder if they hope to stimulate sales.
Oh come on! The xbox one is certainly not going anywhere, even if its well beaten in sales. Its sold record numbers of units and already has a high enough user base to warrant good attention and development from companies.
The PS4 clearly seems to be attracting a much bigger user base, which suits me just fine as I could only afford one and that was my choice, but the xbox one will continue to ship units and get some great games and all real gamers should welcome that! Shouldn't t...
Gotta love that quirky loco roco style artwork! Santa monica studios have a great record with previous releases, so I'll be interested in trying this....
Missed it first time round, so was pleased to see it on the newer gen machines. Its a really good game that had me playing to completion, and it does look good - a lot better than the last gen versions in my opinion!
I certainly wouldn't have bought it had I played it first time round, but being new to it meant I didn't feel ripped off at all...
No prob. I know people take it really seriously, but I do find it amusing how people twist facts to support their tribe. Its half the reason I read through the forums here if I'm honest. I love to be outraged and amused all at once! Your quite right to point out peoples hypocrisy, the sites rife with it!
Chill bro - I've been playing pc games since dos too, but play that on monitors. Nice to have 1080 on my tv. I was a digital artist for 16 years and maybe thats why it looks obvious to me, I'm genuinely suprised if its not obvious to everyone, and I accept entirely those that state they can hardly notice.
Its hardley a reason to berate annyones choice of machine - though I will admit to skipping the wi for its lack
49 and a proud gamer.I was lucky enough to make games for 16 years, and I've never lost the enthusiam and joy that comes from gaming. Fortunately my wife used to come around for gaming sessions for ten tears before we married, so she knew what she was getting!
I can't imagine I would ever tire of gaming and intend to game till I drop!
This kind of system war has been happening for a long long time. I'm old enough to have seen ( and owned) every gaming system since the original pong machine, and machines have always competed on stats - used to be number and size of sprites that provided the ammo!
I have fond memories of working on an amiga racing title while arguing passionately about the relative merrits of psx vs saturn with the lead programmer..
I think whats changed these days is the number of sites...
Well at least Edge is consistant - I've always been of a different opinion to their reviews for at least twenty years now!
Their knowledgeable articles and features are well worth a read, but their reviews are often wide of the mark... I'll judge for myself tommorrow :-D
