even though it is not mandatory most of them have it....they could also put the firmware upgrade in the BD disc, just look at the Resident Evil: Extinction movie... its coming with demos for the PS3..who knows what they could put in the disc...
and if im not mistaken you just need 256mb of memory for PiP..so basically all BD players can do it...

IF you look properly you'll see that the game looks EQUAL in almost everything
but it comes appart in some places where theres those jaggies on the car's back (PS3); it does not prove PS3 can't handle AA, what it does prove is that maybe the devs missed it and they didn't smoth out that part, but then again im not a DEV so i wouldn't know...

people might not care...but for people who know specs of what their going to buy(me) i would totally take blu-ray for the superior space and players...since all BD player in the market can read a BD up to 4 layers = 100Gb with a simple FW upg...

I think that manufactures would want to make sure all the hardware are updated, to avoid the hasle of people calling them all the time....
because some people would not even know that it has to be updated to do some funtions...
I would rather the idea of the BD update
