@ hagaf22, that would be nice to know. My ps wouldn't accept a bigger drive, don't know if it was just a bad console from the get go or what, but when I tried to replace the HDD it would freeze as soon as it connected to PSN so I put original drive back in. Refurb unit they sent me worked like a charm as soon as I popped the 500gb hitachi in there. I agree with you hagaf22, only had the one prob with my ps3, and personally I've never had rrod on 360, but I sold my original and bought an elite and the guy I sold my original too had it fail 2 weeks later.
