Everything in the market is a gimmick really. You need some arbitrary feature to make your idea stand out. What really makes wii a gimmick in the bad sense of the word is that it relys on motion controls and cuts back on hardware and features that make a console a console. There are certain things that I just expect a console to have. If it doesnt have a hard drive, good graphics, HD, or the ability to play video and MP3's, its not up to current generation standards. Pokemon black is pretty good. Just beware the new pokemon. Best one to get is Sandile because it evolves into this badass red crocidile that can kill everything and look awesome doing it. Best thing about the game was the ramped up storyline and the fact that I could transfer my SS pokemon over to it. Typlosion should be level 100 in no time :)
Duke Nukem is just a terminator tipoff that may have been cool in the 90's when overly manly men with buzzcuts were all the rage but we need more today than just micheal bay theatrics. Duke Nukem should throw in the towl before it embarasses itself
Oh boy wii 2 will be more powerful than what will be last gen consoles when it releases. But as usual, ps4 will make its specs look like a calculator vs a super computer...ps4 being the supercomputer of course.

I know exactly what you mean. People like to think that buttons are archiac and obsolete but the fact is, there is no lag in buttons, but there is plenty of lag in a wii mote and in kinect. I hope this motion gimmick wears out by the next generation. Even with a next gen boost with Move and Kinect, motion controls are still boring and require too much effort just to play a game. When I come home, I want to sit down and relax not flail my arms like im one fire.

I switched to guitar because of GH games. I knew it would be hard and I would have to practice though. I wouldnt recommend it to anyone who is lazy or wont take the time to learn music theory needed to really play well.

Man I need to actually buy LBP2. I rented it and loved it at first but I got frustrated because no one would play my levels :( But this is a great creation. I wish we could customize the score to look more like the game's art style but that is a small complaint. Great level. Truly impressive.
