But if they try, they can probably make a working game, but they may have to cut certain things or try to make things fit here and there (i.e. take a way few details, u may see a few more pop ins, some low res texture that may not be as noticeable).

The console market is NOT saturated. Look at how many total PS2 is on the market in Japan, the household per PS2 ratio is the real saturation point. The Wii is far from saturated. It is outsold by the PS3 because they are saturating all the casuals that cares about it, and all the grand-aunt's mom's aunt has played it in their aunt's brother's grandpa's house and probably...already loss interest by now.

the market is full from saturation, all you have to look at is the number of DS on the market you will get a sense of market saturation in japan. Eventhough it is one per household, it is far from saturation.
An more accuate saturation point is probably numbers of PS2 in the household.
