I love and game on steam myself.most of the motivation of steam came from XBL.i love TF2 to death!!!!!! that game is still played on XBL,but i play the PC version and lovin it.having PC,PS3 and 360 affords me the luxury of being a true gamer, not a fanboy
XBL has set the standard for online gaming for consoles.what they have done over the years brought them to the now.some hate it because they don,t want to understand the service. having both consoles affords me the luxury of being a gamer and i can truly say that XBL is the standard barrer.
sony needs to stop playing around and get steam works intergrated into PSN before MS pull a quantum leap on them and leave them in the dust.this generation is at the half point and sony gotta get moving and not just focus on content alone, but also work on features that will make XBL feel some heat.
For those who don,t have both consoles ur point is null and void.for the record,PS+ is a rental service to get free things.xbox live is a full gaming online service that you have to pay for.why is sony and MS offering this kind of pay service? TO MAKE MONEY!! both are not equal.XBL has more than voice chat that keeps it ahead of PSN and PS+.do you research people.
When multi-platform game ads air on TV the 360 name show up at the end.this fall is gonna be balls to the wall as far as advertising goes
I speak for the americam marketplace, but after looking at the may NPD report i can,t help but to say it,s gonna take more than kevin butlers humour to move hardware and software.that is how it works for a buisness to make money,to advertise so product can move.this fall will be the deciding factor on who has the more aggresive ads.
You should care,if the developers don,t make money, then you can forget sequels and DLC.your remarks are of a 12yr old, thats how buisness works.praise without sales are dead
I can,t understand why ps3 owners wont run out and buy this game.remember gamers when a game sells alot on day 1,the developers and publisher reapes the benefits.at the end of the day it,s not about fans of a particular game,it,s about the sales and how many it sold. PRAISE DON,T PAY THE DEVELOPERS BILLS!!!!
Lets keep this simple, the NPD report for may is what it is.attach rate is not consoles or games sold.
I,m sure the developers of mod nation racers may consider going multi-platform.maybe the sales will be alot better.somtimes new IP,s are a hard sell. RDR was a huge hit and multi-platform.
Can,t wait til junes hardware #,s come out.that will set the tone for the remaining months the yr.the NPD report is only for north america.looks like the 360 is setting up for the holiday season.
May is a slow month for gaming.as for alan wake, for it post at #8 was a surprise for me.360 owners need to buy this game trust me.
I,m gonna hold off until they get some games ond more features that will grab me.i,m planning on a 3 month when i do sign up.
This is what you call failure in gaming journalism.anyone who got the memo months ago knows why the original XBL was slated to be disconnected.the old XBL had to go so the current one could expand.does kinect ring a bell? espn, new dashboard update later this year? i didn,t mind them pullin the plug on the old XBL,as long as they contine to build the current XBL to be a better service. i,m looking forward to a more improved XBL.
It,s not about damage control, they,re going to intergrate hulu into the dashboard and make so that u can navigate it with kinect.with all do respect,if you had both consoles you would know this already sir.
It all boils down to marketing, thats the way it works.i see alot of multiplatform games marketed on TV with the 360 logo at the end.whether you love or hate MS,they advertise pretty good and sony has to use a more aggressive method to steal the thunder away from MS. and i agree with you about the atricle
Value is what it boils down to.gamers that has both consoles need to judge feature for feature and see where the true value lies.
Like i said in another post, sony knows xbox live is a cash cow and wants to capture some of that marketshare.i keep hearing "FREE" but sony has to start making money from its service and thats what it boils down to,making money.for those who have both consoles like me,lets see who has the real value?
Now that sony has its own premium service, how will they draw XBL subscibers to PS+? how will they convince the undecided to come to PS+ and not XBL? sony wants MS,s marketshare and they see XBL is a cashcow.PS+ is in its infancy and time will tell whether or not if it,s a good value over XBL. as i said in another post, gamers with both ps3 and 360 should judge for yourself to see who has the greater value.
With all do respect,i believe your point is flawed.why is sony doing this? TO MAKE MONEY! i dout you have a 360 to see the other features besides voice chat.i can say that XBL is a thriving community of gamers that are connected through out XBL.most gamers like me game on PC,360 and PS3 and have the luxury of comparing the services. i will not pay $50 a yr for PS+ and it not have all the features of its competitor.free game rentals are not gonna do it alone and sony knows that XBL is a cash ...
