Have you never owned a PS3 until now? Surely you know that a Blu-Ray holds 50GB of data, meaning that NO game requires a second disk. Sorry, but the comments on this site are incredibly stupid.
What are you talking about? RAGE had awful textures close-up, certainly not the "gloriois textured" you talk about.
Basically none of these artworks represent the games they are made for, as they end up looking incredibly different in-game. Why don't they take ACTUAL scenes from within the ACTUAL games and honour them with awards?
Lovely artworks, but hardly representative of the scenes you see within the actual games.
I have a dream, where whining people like yourself, stop moaning about another Castlevania: Symphony Of The Night and enjoy Castlevania: Lords Of Shadow for what it is, an excellent game.
You are so blinded by you wish for another side-scrolling version of Castlevania, that you can't enjoy it in it's current iteration, i swear, most of you "old-school" lovers haven't even played it, yet proceed to give it "0" on Metacritic and b*tch on commmen...
Finally, a person with taste. I am 33, have played ALL the Castlevania games, and can say with conviction that Castlevania: Lords Of Shadow was the best. It utterly confuses me why people want the side-scrolling crap from the 90's back, bloody hell, join the 2012's would you!
Castlevania: LOS is an excellent game with some of the most hauntingly beautiful music in gaming history. The visuals are sharp, and the narrator, good 'ol Patrick Stewart is great.
Then play Castlevania: Lords Of Shadows. I don't get why you need to make some "cute" comment on what you want.

I enjoy films like "Captain America", "Batman Returns" and "Iron Man" etc, those are movies with action plus well-written characters and a storyline. And yes, there are attractive females in them too. From your reply, it's clear you like the "big 'ol dumb" action movies, enjoy man.
Why does anyone listen to Carmack? Does anyone remember the trainwreck of technical crappery that was RAGE's launch on PC? His so-called "megatexture" technique referred to the process of being able to easily create non-similar looking landscapes and textures within a game. But what it amounted to was shockingly low texture work on everything but characters. The Witcher 2 had vastly different landscapes with LESS duplication and fantastic texture clarity in comparison.

Well said, i weep when i read the comments above your's from people who probably thought the last two Transformers films were artistic.
At the rate taste patterns are evolving, people in the future will be watching 90 minute films of a guy farting and be entertained. Yes, i took that from the film "Idiocracy", which pertains to this topic exactly.
I like junk food, it's really good food. That's the culinary parallel to what you're saying.
Thank you so much for enabling Hollywood to keep producing garbage movies like this. You, and the other 1 + million people with no taste, are a cancer to the film industry. Watch the film "Idiocracy", you'd fit right in. "Battleship", it's what plants crave!!!
One of my biggest reasons for NOT seeing it, is because Rihanna is in it. Please, stick to your music dear.
Time to go back to school my friend. Your title says "Best Looking Game", so by this you mean "the whole aspect of the game"? How do these stupid articles get approved?
@ Bladefist
Please, most people have a dedicated PC monitor. And sorry, a $100 PC monitor is pretty bad, who wants to game at 720p on a PC? That really is 8 years ago to the PC crowd.
Agreed, playing The Witcher 2 at sub-par settings is like buying a Ferrari and then giving it to your Gran to drive around at 20mph.
This is a 30fps @ 720P system for sure. The fact they brag about it playing games at "max settings" is a joke. The Witcher 2 will run at around 30fps at 720p on this system, but that doesn't matter as their rig has no monitor, keyboard, mouse or Windows so that's the least of the worries.
I agree, not only do they not count Windows (optional, really?) but they always leave out keyboard, mouse and monitor. So, add another $300-$400 for these please.
I am a PC and console (PS3) gamer, and i love my PC, but these "budget" PC articles are pure crap talk.
Well, with that type of mentality none of us should criticise any profession or job, unless we are doing it.So if a waiter gives me attitude and crap service, i shouldn't be critical unless i'm also a waiter? Or if the medical staff at a hospital botch up my grandfather's medication, i shouldn't criticise them unless i'm a doctor? What a typical "politically correct" and stupid stance to take.
Moronic comment is moronic comment.
Good grief, this thread is filled with a bunch of pathetic whiners, most of which clearly haven't played this game. Meanwhile, over at a REAL forum with intelligent conversation, gamers are actually enjoying The Elder Scrolls Online a lot, even nay-sayers who disliked the Beta.
