Not entirely true. While the game engine is nearly identical to OG Halo 2, there is an additional graphics engine layered on top. That engine is brand new and made to take advantage of current hardware. Halo 4 however is only receiving a minor upgrade to the x360 engine (res, frame rate, shading and lighting improvements).

This is probably them rushing through as quick as possible, do no side missions, on lowest difficulty and skipping all cinematics. These BS articles pop up every time a high profile game comes out. They said Halo 4 campaign was like 4 hours. Playing it on legendary solo, it took a good 10 hours and I'm pretty darn good.
