Why? Once the technology improves and minute movements of your hands can be picked up accurately, you won't need a controller. Instead of joysticks and buttons, you can just use your thumbs and fingers.
The only problem with motion-controlled gaming right now is that the technology sucks. It will get better. In 20 years, joysticks and buttons will seem outdated.
Motion gaming is just getting started. It's not a passing fad. Apple is going to be releasing motion-controlled input devices in the next few years. Eventually we won't be using mice or trackpads, and all input will be motion-controlled (keyboards will be around for a while I'm sure). It's off to a slow start, but motion-controlled gaming is here to stay. (Unlike 3D gaming, which may never catch on.)
I'm into PS2 ports, as well as updated PS2 and PS1 ports.
