I got 10720 and have been thinking I have just simply wasted far too much time going after what essentially are meaningles points. This guy is crazy!

Though, I guess how I could see it being done. Prior to the February I was below 4000. Thus, in about two months I have gotten, say, 7000 GS points. That's 3500/month. If I were to have worked at this pace since I had my 360 (end of April 06, so lets start @ May) I would have 38500ish. If I had the system since launch, I would be ...

N64 was black before PS2...oh wait, Jaguar CD and 64 were black before N64...oh wait, Sega Saturn/32x/Genesis/Sega and 3DO and Neo Geo were black before Jaguar CD and 64...oh wait, Atari had multiple systems that were black before Sega's systems 3DO and Neo Geo...

If no colors were allowed to be re-used by different companies, we'd be playing on crazy blue, red, yellow, or god knows what colored consoles.

Deepbrown --

I have to say I agree with you. The second and third Matrix movies are not where someone should go for philosophy. I love all the Matrix movies, including Animatrix, but nothing tops what the first provided in terms of philosophy.

I myself am graduating in May with one of my degrees in philosophy. I am getting departmental honors, graduating summa cum laude in phil, have won numerous writing awards and other honorariums, and am hoping to be entering ...

GRAW1 -- beating the individual missions on normal difficulty. in my first play through I played on hard and only earned the hard-level acehivements. if the game is going to give acheivements for all difficulties, it should be like GOW where you get all the acheivements for any difficulty easier than the one you play on.

Thank you Mr. Durden for being among the few (and only one who voiced it) who understand market economics. I was eager to respond in almost the exact manner -- kudos to you my friend.

And this my friends is serious news. The shear impact of this is enormous. Though there will likely be several appeals and countersuits and other seperate, though associated, litigation as a result of this ruling, it can't be overseen that the numbers are enormous.

1. All that litigation will costs each company millions of dollars (the typical IP case well exceeding a million)

2. The fact that the decision was at 1.52 billion proves interesting in the future. It ...

No, but MS can ruin Lucent with a barage of lawsuits, countersuits, and other litigation due to the very cost of trial in an IP case.

Though this is surely less than Gates has in petty cash available to him, this amount of cash handed out in an IP lawsuit is enormous -- especially in that it was only over two patents. I have done work at what is considered a prestige IP law firm (college kid, work summers/winters) and know that 1.52 billion is CRAZY. My firm was involved once in a case that exceeded 600 million in damages and at that time and still now it is among the top 10 highest pay-outs by a jury in U.S. history. 1.52 ...

Actually, it has nothing to do with fanboyism (at least for most of us 360 owners who also back HD DVD). The reason why we are bothered by it and wish it to succeed is that there exists at this moment an add-on which merely costs ~200$. We wish to see HD DVD succeed largely for the fact that it is, economically speaking, the wisest next generation movie format for us to support (some may also support it because they believe it to be superior to BR) -- it has NOTHING to do with it competing wi...

If you didn't know, as of right now it is costing Sony to make a PS3 more than $200 than MSRP. Even if the price of production drops $200 dollars, PS3 will still be breaking even. This doesn'teven consider Sony eventually wanting to make up for $ lost with each sale that occurs right now. THEREFORE, there is no justification in making the conclusion

"therefore the price will go down"

Just a breif side note: I wouldn't use Resi-4 as an example there as it was originally a Gamcube game and is far better as a Gamecube game.

Try just WWII there buddy. Go take a history lesson. After that, get yourself a reading program, say, Hooked On Phonics -- 5.3 said nothing about "3rd world roasted dog"...that would be 8.1. God Damn the numbers aren't anywhere near the same.

Breif not on Verbiage -- if I were to choose the wording of potential I would then have to employ the word potentiality as it appears, as of this moment, that potential is not that strong for Sony but rather the liklihood (i.e. chance) for potential is strong (i.e. potentiality). Potential for Sony has greatly been diminshed by shortages, 360s install base, Wii excitement, horrid games, lack of exclusives, prominent exclusives on the 360 front, constant sequeling, etc. etc. etc. However, beca...

The Americans were supplying the allied European front far before we ever entered the war. Many of our ships which brought supplies to Britain were bombarded by Nazi U-Boats. Hell, even some of our luxury liners were attacked. All this was prior to our entering the war.
Point...Though we entered the war a little later, we had been supplying the war front the entire time.

You don't make such a radical business decision this quick in the game unless you have concern over the possible future success of the console. Hopefully it will put out better quality games then those recently seen but in all honesty, to make a change this early is an attempt at forestalling the possibility of PS3 ending up as a failure. An early shake-up ensures the failures Kutaragi made with the PS3 will not be continued and the system can then essentially 'start-over' as it has only had ...

Power of the green II wasn't referring to you as shooting for the Sun and/or Mars, his reference was to the ambitiously flamboyant statement made by Kutaragi that the 360 was shooting for the moon whereas the PS3 was shooting for Sun. At this point, Sony should just be concentrating on putting a person into orbit.
