Well we dont know how much both companies earn or lose in its systems. I think the ps3 still sells with a loss while the 360 also does. If its software that does the earnings then Sony has much more to gain since they have more first party devs while MS have very few. Well if you do the math if the 360 sold 1.4 million consoles at $200 and the PS3 sold 700k at $400 then who do you suppose is earning more??
An exclusive is what defines a console, without one a console is just another gaming machine with no soul nor personality. Halo defined the Xbox, while Metal Gear defined the PS. An exclusive game like Killzone 2 promotes the PS3's graphical capability and shows Sony's seriousness in this gaming industry. An exclusive is what makes the system unique rather than the multiplats than you can have anywhere.
Let me get this straight Microsoft is bragging a one year lead with no competition and when the PS3 came out it only had an 8 million lead over its competitor? So if they were both released at the same time then the PS3 would have sold a lot more considering that it is also much more expensive than the 360? I wont own a wii cause it doesnt have games that interest me (personal preference) I dont own a 360 cause of the RRODs and other hardware failures that it has and almost all of its games i already have on my PC so i bought a PS3 cause i have a theater system, plus the build screams of hi tech polish with all the tech from wifi, bluray, blutooth and hd readiness. It is neither Sony nor Microsofts fault since Square does have a tendency to jump boats, but now they are on two boats and weighing which console to pick favorites is screwing their business along with the fans. Im not waiting for Final Fantasy cause i have lots of other games to play and by the time it is released it might look dated compared to games released on that time frame hearing the news that it is using the UE3 engine which by that time is a very old engine.
As far as hardware sales are concerned all the consoles are selling well and enough to ensure that not one of these consoles kick the bucket and people keep forgetting that fact cause all they see are first, second and third place. Todays consoles sell more than any other hardware out there in the planet so i dont see the PS3 as being third place loser but as third place in making a lot of money in the hardware industry.
Well the money spent on Killzone 2 is worth it cause they have a better engine to crank out more games as opposed to MS SPENDING 50 MILLION DOLLARS FOR A TIMED EXCLUSIVE!!! you guys know what im talking about right?

I guess Sony was much wiser having spent 60 million dollars on game development than MS spending 50 million dollars for a timed exclusive. That development has produced an engine that would make better looking games on the PS3 possible so it was money well spent.
Why is someone always saying to take out the bluray???? Then how can the PS3 play games when its games are on bluray??? If you cant afford it then a PS3 is not for you. If you cant use any of the PS3's extra features then it is also not for you. If you are satisfied with just simple online gaming and gaming in general then a PS3 is not for you. No one is forcing you to own a PS3 so why hate Sony? GTA has lost its appeal for me. Sure it looks better but there is something lacking here compared to previous GTA's. I mean its kinda more of the same with prettier graphics but i ended up selling it. Maybe its just me but i do see some people disappointed.
The Ps3 isnt that expensive i have watches more than $400-$800 in my collection, heck the most celphones cost more than a PS3 and it has fewer features than a PS3. Gaming will always be a luxury so it will be expensive to those who are not serious about the hobby.

Ok i get your point, im just being selfish cause i really wanted to play MH on a big screen. If i plugged my psp on my tv to play MH then it would look bad.
