I always go for disc based media because ive had hard drives fail on me with all my precious data (ahem...porn). Even if i could download it, its still aint safe for me and bluray discs are a very good investment cause none of my discs have any scratches even my older ones.

Very true, and its because the PS3 has so much variety that most games sell low at the start but picks up in sales over time. You can't put a lifespan on great games, even if a year has passed people will still buy it just because its so damn good.
Whoa ....handhelds are really king in Japan. I hope this good sales will draw in more companies to dish out new games this year.

Im also curious of this game because it seems like ive never played a genre like this before. Its on my buy list for next year along with GOW3, Last Guardian, Yakuza 4, GT5 and BF2 which i think will make me so penniless next year.
Well there's nothing that can compare to the PS2 and that's also a console that lasted a decade. Lets just skip all the flaming and just agree that the PS2 trounced every console of its time.

I dont want to sound like a fanboy but while MS is incubating Sony continues to evolve with new games and genres. Next year will also be hard for MS since the next line of PS3's very heavy hitters will be up next year. Starting with GOW3, GT5 and Last Guardian which have faithful and diehard followers im very certain Sony has a very hard to beat line-up along with the multiplats and other exclusives.
I have faith in Naughty Dog that they can deliver more. If they say they can give me much more then im willing to hand them over my hard earned money. I will always support devs who bring out quality. They blew my mind with Uncharted 2 and i was always impressed with the first one up to now. I also have faith in Team ICO, Polyphony Digital, Insomniac and Guerilla Games because they do what they promised and i never felt robbed buying their games.

You have to be sympathetic to people who wants to play a game but can't since they don't own a PS3. If they did they'd be singing a different tune. They do sound like tsundere's and its funny how hard they try to bring down games that deliver.
Its not too late to try those games. I think they are gonna re-release those games in HD before the Last Guardian comes out like with what they did with God of War.
It might not sell millions but it will still earn a lot of money. Its always stupid to think that selling a lot means quality. I play games not sales. As long as i get the quality that team ICO does then im a happy gamer. I guess the people who always base quality on sales play WiiFit a lot.

You should kill yourself for liking a halfdone game. The kid had a better gift than that half-assed game. I had a better time with MW1 a hundred times than the sequel. So i would say MW2 is a bad, awful, overpriced, full of glitch of a game. Dude this is the internet anyone who threatens anyone on the net is sure to be a loser.

I think the in-house developers are doing great and earning a lot considering that not one of Sony's developers has bit the dust while the economy was in a crisis. They are still making ambitious games and i think that's a good sign that they are making money. Not to mention that since the PS3 is pirate proof it really helps them get back their investments.
